Leisurely day again.

About the loss of all that VA data. Apparently some VA employee took a laptop computer complete with a CD or DVD filled with info about 26 million vets home. His house was broken into and the computer stolen.

I am assuming that it was just a generic garden variety petty crime. The computer with or without the aforementioned CD has been fenced. For an instant - don't think about the Vets who are worried about their personal data. Think about the poor buglar. Who fenced the computer for say 50 bucks. Maybe even trashed the CD. One unhappy dude. (Worse case - the buglar wasn't brain dead and the sold it to the Russian Mafia for big bucks.)
