Above is Klondike, an elderly blind great pyrenees. But, he can still hear and smell - so he still hangs with the young dogs. He was the the center of a touching little story. On night we all packed up and went down to the creek for a campfire. Coffee, wine, hot chocolate and smores.
We elderly humans rode on a wagon behind a smelly tractor. The kids and dogs ran. But, Klondike wasn't able to keep up. So the kids insisted that we stop and "Wait for Klondike". When it was time to leave - some of the kids started walking back early so Klondike wouldn't have to run. (And, we wouldn't have figure out how to get a 200 plus pound dog on a wagon!)
