hanging out on the roof - 16jul06

Trying to ignore what is going on in the world by hanging out on the roof. We are the Old People. Everyone else is Gen-X or less.

Carlton needs new "Birdies" - "Birdies" are old fashioned surf shorts. They last forever. I think I'll order him new pair. That should be the last swim togs that he will ever need. "Birdies" are still manufactured in California. They have a really lame web site that they are very proud of. Check it out.

Still researching sending my medical and dental needs off shore. India, Singapore, Bangkok are in the running. If my doctors come from India and my X-rays are processed in Bangladesh and the nurse is from the Philippines and the dentists in the 'hood are from Korea - well - why don't I just take myself overseas. I discovered that the best hospitals are accredited by the same folk that accredit my local hospital. And guess what - they publish their rates. Try to get a price from your local hospital!
