Yes, the sinus infection is definitely back. The Mayo Clinic web site says that chronic sinusitis seriously degrades the quality of life. No shit.
But, I refused to stay in the hotel and enjoy poor health - Carlton and I went to our favorite snorkel place this morning. Fortunately, I did not have a sneezing fit while out all masked and snorkeled up. Yesterday we went to the favorite surfing place and on Saturday we hit our favorite hanging out beach. So, we have done the circuit of our best beaches.
I did enjoy poor health this afternoon - and lounged on the deck. And took some baby steps toward getting ready to go home. The folks in the room next door left today. And they left me 2 bottles of beer. Guess I'll have to return my AA 90 day chip. (That is an inside joke - when we are in Hawaii - I give up booze and Carlton gives up ice cream.)
Walter Reed. Is anyone who is familiar with the Army medical system really surprised? Being an Army Brat, I am not familiar with the Navy medical system - but I doubt that it is any better. Remember - there is the right way, the wrong way and the Army way.
Anyhow - those of us who live in the DC area remember that that Strom Thurmond "lived" at Walter Reed during the last years of his "life". I used to maintain he was dead - but no one noticed. Anyhow, it would have made for good theater if all this had come to light while Sen. Thurmond was still "alive".
