Medora ND - July 1998
That picture of Medora, North Dakota is why I decided not to get rid of my backup CDs. That picture was on the first CD I looked at. Naturally, I was going to have to look at all 200+ CDs. At the rate of one per day... Well, you get the idea.
So, calling on my Park Service training as an archivist - I put numbers on the CDs, cataloged them, and put them in the closet. Let the next person in the job figure out what to do with them.
As for the picture, we were out catching bugs. Beetles that are imported to eat leafy spurge the be specific. And, as I recall my job was to "guard the GPS base station". The main danger to the GPS base station being buffalo.
