The quote of the day on my google page was from Isaac Asimov:
Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.
I like that concept. I like it a lot.
Along those same lines - in Britain a survey asked people "An asteroid is on a collision course with the earth and you have one hour left to live. What would you do in your last 60 minutes?" About half said they would seek out their loved ones by phone. But, a considerable percentage said they would accept the inevitable, sit back and enjoy a nice glass of champagne. Whilst 2% would spend their last 60 minutes on earth looting. Guess that is way you need yesterday's bedside gun mounts.
