Spring comes to exciting downtown Ballston - 2009.
The need for a George iPod dock has not returned.
I shrunk out of my two skirts. And, I discovered that "they" don't make skirts like the old ones any more. Both were originally from the thrift shop. And, I have had both since the last millennium. So, I suppose it is time to rethink my idea of what a skirt is. To me a skirt has a waist band, belt loops, pockets and NO ELASTIC anywhere. And a skirt is made out of some sensible washable solid color fabric. I looked high and low priced on and off line for a suitable skirt. In thrift shops and Nordstroms and Target. Looking for skirts. Hopefully two. One black. One beige. No luck. So, I am rethinking skirts.
Gaining 20 pounds and fitting back into the old skirts isn't a great idea. One of them is pretty threadbare. And the other will be moving on out to the thrift shop. Maybe some other old fashion fuddyduddy will like it. And, it can continue its life of frumpy service for another 10 years.
OR, I could go to Europe and buy 2 skirts. Or to Hong Kong and have 2 skirts made. Made to my own fuddyduddy specs.
Carlton spent $900 plus at the dentist this afternoon having gum surgery. This isn't a real happy place tonight.
