Friday The day started out grandly. Sunny. No cruise ships. An excellent day off. Made a big mistake - wandered down to the office to buy a cup of upmarket coffee and to check on the Nimda Virus that had infected my machine. Well, first of all, the coffee places were closed. Next, my machine was fine. But, while I was there we got a phone call telling us that one of our machines was spreading the virus all over Alaska and maybe the free world. Rose and I suited up in our tybec anti-viral coveralls and sprang into action. I made it home at 8:15. Our computers are not fine even yet. Before Tuesday, we would have considered this a really BAD thing. Now it is just a huge pain in the butt. |
