Ah, life was good again in Kailua Village today. A
cruise ship arrived! In years past, 2 cruise ships per week stopped
in Kona. This year - before 9/11 3 ships per week were scheduled.
But, now no ships regularly come to call. There is also a Navy ship
in the bay. Apparently, we can go visit the Navy ship tomorrow.
If nothing else, it is fun to ride out to the ship on the Zodiac.
Finally got tired of looking are really great fish
at the market. Bought some stripped marlin today. Stuck it in the
nuker - we have a small fridge and micro wave - and with the addition
of a couple of lemon slices and some soy sauce - five minutes later
- great marlin steaks for lunch. Why didn't I discover nuked fish
years ago?
