The Street where we live - 21.jul.02
The market had another bad day. Maybe, the market is having delayed
menopause too! I was a buyer today. Some First Virginia Bank and
our electric company.
In exciting downtown Lowell, we are getting ready for the big "Lowell
Folk Festival" this coming weekend. Our streets are going to
be blocked off. Our house is in a parking lot. During the day it
is used by the workers at Lowell Five Cent Bank. It is sort of funny
to be walking around the house in my jammies and watching bankers
coming to work in full banker garb. Most of the other time the lot
is used by folks coming to mass at St. Joe's Shrine. I like hearing
the bells from St. Joe's.
I have really enjoyed my time in this gritty little blue collar
town.
