Lowell Folk Festival - 26.jul.02
The Lowell Folk Festival started more or less on schedule with
the Treme Funeral Band from New Orleans. Leading the parade was
a jolly Park Ranger. However, the band was distracted by a friendly
saloon. The Ranger was left with no parade. By and by the band come
back - no worse for wear - and the parade continued.
As for the food - my favorite area is "Coronary Corner"
where the vendors are: Two French Fry places, a Fried Dough guy,
and an Italian sausage stand.
But you gott'a love the NAACP food vending booth - they were selling
slices of watermelon for two buck to white folk. Is it a great country
or what?
