first signs of spring in the city - 19.mar.05

When I returned from Hawaii to the old house in the 'burbs, one of my first tasks would be to check on the daffodils for some sign of spring.

I went out on the balcony this morning - checking for spring. The sidewalk cafe umbrella - a concrete canyon sign of spring.

Ancient History - March 19, 1966 - my college won the NCAA Basketball Championship. It was more than just a little school in the poor border town winning a basketball game. Read about it. It was so long ago - we listened to the game on the radio.
