Still recovering. Slowly. Hospital bill arrived today. $6,555. That is the basic bill. Not including the blood counts they did twice a day and the emergency room. Four days in hospital cost more than 2 months in Hawaii.

On a positive note: The iPod has made it from Shanghai, to Anchorage, to Indianapolis and is now at Dulles Airport. Hopefully, it will make its way here on Monday or Tuesday.

About my trip to Europe this summer. Main objective is to get together with the daughter and her mother in Haarlem. They are artists and I expect them to show me all the art museums. I'll show them the red light districts and the marijuana museum.

I was going to go over a few days early and check out Bruges in Belgium. But, today I accidentally discovered that Hotel-Deiu (that is a hospital) Norte_Dame rents nice hotel-type hospital rooms at what passes for a reasonable price. (Especially when compared to my $1,600 plus daily bill from Hotel Arlington!) Check them out. It is an unpopular time of year for Paris. But, I am not very popular anyhow. Then I could train over to Haarlem and leave from Amsterdam.
