For years I tried to get Carlton to go to the library. "Go to the library, Carlton. They have books and cds and movies - all for free". I'd get him library cards. Would he go - no. Since we moved here, he discovered the Arlington library. He was surprised that they have books and movies and cds - all free. And, nice people to help him find things.

Well, today - Carlton got on the subway and went to the Library of Congress. Got himself a "Reader Card" and ordered up a book. This was amazing. Carlton is researching his family tree. He has a family tree. We Durham's have a family tumbleweed.
