Today, just after lunch, progress arrived in "our"
back lot. All the trees were gone in short order to be replaced
by a "Mac Mansion".
Now, if we had a metal detector we could go look for
Civil War minie balls etc. We live in what was most likely the garbage
dump for "Fort Buffalo" (named for Buffalo, NY not the
large mammal). Fort Buffalo was one of the seven Union forts that
circled Washington.
