a serious looking kid.
OK boys and girls - next week laptop computer prices
will drop like a rock. And how do I know this? Because, I ordered
the new Toshiba today.
A friend's kid got snagged by the the old "Internet
modem switcheroo". This usually occurs when you are surfing
around the dark corners of the web. The XXX parts. Well, to make
a long story short - your computer is directed to hang-up and dial
a long distance number in Vanuatu or somesuch places. All this happens
while you are distracted by pictures lovely ladies. Sort of like
a good pickpocket scheme. (No boys and girls - you can not hear
the modem. The hi-jacker turns modem sound off).
As far as Internet scams go - its an oldie but still
a goodie.
