Happy Days - The cranky zipCD Burner retires.
Today we have pictures. That is because most of my
image processing software has moved over to the new machine. And,
the new machine cheerfully reads the little camera memory card.
The new machine also prints to the antique Canon printer real nicely.
And it runs the newer but fussier Epson Photo printer. The Toshiba
was happy to take the optical mouse onboard.
But
when it came to the scanner, XP Pig reverted to it's "I am
the absolute ruler" mode - and it will not let HP's little
utility programs run the scanner. I don't know if XP Pig will let
Photoshop run the scanner. I believe I take advantage of my massive
computer RAM and fire up Photoshop - well, XP Pig does let Photoshop
run the scanner - but PS has to ask really nicely. "Oh please
Mr XP - let me use the scanner - pretty please.." This is what
I just scanned. The DVD that I am going to get the Toshiba to show
on our Toshiba TV.
An old friend sent this message today. It was the
last message sent by our 30 year old Navy communications system.
Damn, the old lady got all sentimental.
