Puako Petroglyph Field - 19.dec.2002
Big activity today was a trip to the Puako Petroglyph Field. Later,
Carlton did a little body surfing. I did some snorkeling.
Funny article in today's paper about fireworks permits. Seems that
you need a permit to buy a string of more than 5,000 firecrackers.
BUT, the state investigated firecracker packages. They found that
in order to actually get 5,000 fire crackers you have to buy a string
of 25,000. So, the state will allow you to purchase all the 5,000
and 25,000 firecracker strings that you want without a permit. Got
that? The state asked the firecracker manufacturing dudes to change
the labels. No dice: "That is the way we always did it".
