Football on the big screen

Yesterday, James and I watched the Raider's playoff game on the big TV in the lobby ...

We went into the dinning room to get sandwiches at the very late hour of 5:30. Got scolded by Rosie (who is the cook, waitperson, and dishwasher) for being late. Never mind, she still gave James a HUGE portion of ice cream.

The "head table" was occupied by an assortment of little old ladies. One them pointed at James and me asking "Who are those people?"

"They are Ida Durham's kids, she is upstairs dying - but she isn't dead yet." was the very loud answer.

Later the same two ladies came over to offer sympathy and each offered to let us use their spare bedroom.
