freckled hawkfish - kailua bay - 13.feb.03
We had a nice cloudy day today. We took advantage of the cloud
cover to go look at sharks near Kawaihae Harbor. Also saw a bunch
of whales.
Then Carlton went surfing and I sat on the beach and watched a
big black helicopter buzzing a cargo barge that was making its way
into the harbor. That was unusual. Also saw a military convoy and
some army guys jogging on the beach. That is not unusual since the
Alaska National Guard comes to our island for training every winter.
(Which must help with recruiting!)
