Started the veggie garden this morning. Four broccoli plants and
some lettuce seeds that I found the the garage. The lettuce seeds
were dated 1989 - 1990 season! I am not really expecting them to
come up, but I have heard that lettuce seeds are among the most
hardy. We'll see!
I am guessing that the major portion of Mr Bush's war will be winding
up soon. And the ever gullible American public will think we have
"won" and made the Arab world safe for democracy. With
a resulting temporary run up on the stock market. Hence, in the
best American tradition of war profiteering - I have started buying
again to position my portfolio to take advantage of any "celebration".
Of course, I could have miscalculated and the market could tank
without a fleeting spike upward. But, heck, its only money.
