Today we drove around on the mainland, bayside whatever
they call it. Mostly we went to look at some little towns on rivers,
inlets, bays what have you. Sort of checking out new possible places
to live or hangout.
The Outer Banks doesn't meet any of my requirements
for a place to live. I can not even imagine a long summer vacation
here. Across the street from our modest hotel, a new house is under
construction. Asking price 3.4 Million. Dollars. For a vacation
house. A house that is built on sand. A house that Mother Nature
could (and should) reclaim with the next big storm.
3.4 Mill House
Weather continues grand. Will be moving out tomorrow - rates increase
at our modest digs from $39/night to $79/night on May 1.
