We started the day driving around Edisto Island. Edisto
Island must have more churches per square mile than any where else
in the world. Black churches, white churches, old mainline Protestant
churches, one of a kind churches. Lots of "church lady"
hats in evidence.
Then we decided it was time to leave the coast and
head to the mountains. Since I was in charge of motel selection
today - we stopped in Orangeburg SC - home of a couple of historically
Black colleges, a nice rose garden and a lovely river walk.

About this black and white image - when I change the camera battery
- the settings got changed to b/w - I didn't notice until I unloaded
the images. What ever happens is what you planned.
I'll be glad to get away from this intensive military, God Bless America, part of the country. I have kept my opinions to myself.
It seems like the respectful thing to do. After all - I am a guest
in this strange land.
Speaking of God Bless America. If god really did bless america
- do you suppose that the blessing would stop at the border. Bless
North Dakota - but not Manitoba. Bless El Paso - but not Juarez.
