Back in Falls Church after a quickie visit to checkout the newest granddaughter. My interpersonal baby skills are still lacking. But, I didn't drop the kid. So, let us assume that the visit was a success.

As a feminist, I not amused by the attention paid to Pvt Jessica Lynch. Sure, her hometown should welcome her... But, were there no male soldiers wounded? Maybe some not blond and not cute female soldiers captured? Ladies, equal means equal. But, I guess the press has always made some soldiers romantic heroes while most are just forgotten. Now, that is damn cynical isn't it?

Not cynical. My man Lance Armstrong crashed today. Not good. The guy who is just behind him in the standings, Jan Ulrich of Germany, stopped and waited until Lance was back in the saddle before continuing. A class act.

And I am still on vacation.
