Butterfly hunting - 22.aug.2003

Still hot. Today's wildlife photograph is a wasp on my fennel plants.

As amused as I am by the California election.. Iraq keeps popping up on the radar. I wish just one Bush guy would say "Hey, we goofed. We were F-ing wrong, we believed our own spin. We aren't liberators. We aren't even the victors. We are in over our little pointy heads." But, it will never happen. The mess will just go on and on and on. I know the good people in "The Heartland" are supposed to be strongly supportive of the Bush war. And, it is their sons and daughters who will pay the highest price for our hubris. If they reenlist. If they don't. Well, that will be interesting.

Gotta stop thinking this way. Time to go check out some more of California Candidates. It just a farfetched reality TV series - isn't it?
