As you can see, Mother Nature took care of the snow in our neighborhood. But, that doesn't change anything. I still want to be in Hawaii. Sun, sand, ocean, spam, aloha, all those good Hawaiian kind things.

Most of you know that I used to belong to the Longshoreman's Union. It really bothers me to shop at Wal Mart. (So, I don't - except when we are in Hawaii - where it is either Wal Mart, Costco or do without.) Everyone says we don't have to worry about all our manufacturing jobs going offshore. Because, we are a "service economy". Several questions. First - have you tried to get "service" lately? If we are a "service economy" why do I have to wait 30 for "customer service" on the phone? And, isn't maybe the call center somewhere in Asia? And if we don't have any real jobs - who is going to have any money to buy all the "services". Just wait until management jobs start going offshore. Sorry fatbuttmanagerboy - we found a widow women in India who will handle your chores for $8 a week. Don't guess that will happen. Something to think about.
