Watching a show about how to pick out a nursing home for Mother. The kid is supposed to find out what kind of nursing home Mother would like. Before Mother needs to be stuffed in one. Well kid, this old lady wants a nice clean place and if I don't have dementia - I would prefer to not have dementia patients around. And I don't want a room mate. A place that doesn't take Medicaid patients would be best I think.

As for Carlton - he opts for assisted suicide. Come to think of it - so do I. Actually as the cost of keeping us old folk alive becomes more and more apparent - the opposition to assisted suicide will give way to economic necessity.

I can no longer avoid the fact that I am a Senior Citizen. What a crappy title "Senior Citizen". And what does that make the rest of you "Junior Citizens" or just the "Unfortunate Citizens" who are going to inherit what ever is leftover of our environment and wealth after the "Boomers" final exit...
