Today is the official "serious" Memorial Day. As opposed to the "begriming of summer". But, I considered yesterday the "serious" Memorial Day. Within less than 2 hours we had Barber's Adagio for Strings, Faure's Requiem, and Schubert Ave Maria on the telly. The trinity of serious funeral music.

Speaking of music - it was rainy today - so I spent the day finally at long last - figuring out exactly how to convert Carlton's 1950's LP to CD's. With out spending any money for new software. Everyone else on the planet converted their old LP's way back in the last century. Better late than never.
