Julia's Toaster Oven - 22.oct.04

Sunny day at last...

The Smithsonian has Julia Child's kitchen. When she moved into a retirement home a couple of years ago, she gave her kitchen to the Smithsonian. And they went up to Connecticut and moved the whole thing to DC. I was enchanted to discover that she had a well used elderly cheap old GE toaster oven. Just like me. But, I have to hide my away - because there isn't room for it in my so called "gourmet" kitchen. Who ever decided that a kitchen could be "gourmet". What does "gourmet" really mean anyhow?

May have mentioned that "our" hotel in Hawaii doesn't seem so friendly this year. So, I asked Carlton what's Plan B. He said well maybe we could go to New Zealand or maybe Samoa or maybe stay here and go to the Smithsonian twice a week. So, this winter we will either go to the Air and Space Museum or go to Pago Pago. That narrows it down!

We didn't elect him and we don't have to keep him.
