Requiem in pacem, John Paul II.
I think I have had more than enough public dying of late. Imagine that the Terri circus folks are annoyed that they'll not be getting any face time on TV tomorrow. And by next Sunday - they'll be very old news.
Still among the living. Physically no better or worse. But mentally failing. Tired, really tired of being sick.
To cheer me up, I am ordering an iPod. Nights in hospital are too long for my little old brand X player. Fortunately, when I went into Hotel Arlington, I had my player with me. It still had about 90 minutes worth of tunes selected for the trip from Hawaii. But, airplane music ain't hospital music. Nothing by Three Dog Night works in hospital. While in hospital I thought about what I'd like on my "GameOver Playlist".
Definite entries for the GameOver Playlist:
- Ahi Wela - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
- 'Opae E - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
- Deja Vu - Fareed Haque
Any suggested additions to the GameOver Playlist cheerfully entertained. I am thinking that a couple of the Goldberg Variations might work. But no "Amazing Grace". No "We Shall Meet by the River". Maybe some Jerry Garcia.
