The Pits - 17.may.05

Above, The Pits, a 5 story hole in the ground out front of our building. Every afternoon we take the elevator down to check on the day's progress. It is going to be another office building.

Spent yesterday working on my Spanish. Since we are not going to Colorado - I am going to have to finish it and maybe even learn something. And yesterday afternoon Carlton and I went in quest of volunteer work at Hotel Arlington AKA Virginia Hospital Center where I was a "guest".

I should have something to say about the behavior of the Senate. Once in his career - Senator Warner stood on principal (when he refused to support Oliver North's run for the senate). Perhaps he will again. Perhaps Senator Spector of Pennsylvania will do the right thing. I suspect he might attempt to redeem his honor long after his involvement in the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill mess.

But no matter which side "wins" - the founding fathers don't give a rat's ass. And the founding mothers are just disappointed.
