it's a small world - 12.jun.05

A do-nothing sort of a weekend. Mostly spent up on the roof.

Did I tell you about our lifeguard? Our pool is 3 feet 9 inches deep. Period. But, we have a life guard. A young man from the "former soviet union". He speaks very little English. But, I figured out that his Momma - back in Where-ever-stan is worried that her little boy is a life guard. She refuses to believe that he is guarding a bunch (on weekdays a very small bunch) of adults in a waist deep little pool.

Last year's pool boy - I think he was a drug dealer and just got a job as a lifeguard to have some "visible means of support". He drove a Cadillac SUV - hard to even gas up at minimum wage. This year's guy rides a bicycle.
