Bomb Dogs across the street. 08-jul-2005

The 'hood is safe. While I on my porch this afternoon, I spied a couple of bomb dogs sniffing around the building and trees across the street. The bomb dogs must have had a high old time - because the 200 or so "designer dogs" that live in our building use the trees across the street to attend to their doggie business.

I went to the subway station to catch the bus this morning. The Metro police, Army, local cops were out in force - with dogs. Lots of german shepards. The dogs looked really happy to be out and about and doing stuff. Rather than riding around in the back of cars with the windows rolled up.

An old friend died in Honolulu today. The old friend was my age. Which once again reminds me - If not now, when?
