The Internet Is Out of Order - 04.aug.05

From time to time, Mike the reluctant hotelier and operator of the hotel's internet service would put this sign out on the street. The internet out of order. The whole entire internet??? And why isn't the sign is Dutch?

At every hotel - it was possible to get online. The hotel in Paris and the hotel in Bruges had some sort of European keyboard. The Q and A were reversed as were the L and M. The period was moved and the @ completely hidden. I am sure that the Europeans have a reason for that keyboard - but it was very hard to adapt to. Especially when you are paying for access by the minute. However, Mike at the Vampire Garret - he had good old North American keyboards. Maybe that is why the "internet out of order" sign is in English.
