pool time - 29.aug.05

No progress on trip pictures - still at 962. But, I realized that the pool season is rapidly coming to a close and I haven't taken any pictures of the old folk at play in the pool.

New Orleans seems to have survived the hurricane. But by the grace of gentrification Carlton and I are not living in Biloxi. Final home of Jefferson Davis, as I recall. About 25 years ago Carlton and I visited Biloxi. It was one of those wonderfully seedy beach towns that I love and a really down and out cheap place which has great appeal to Carlton the frugal. Well, when we returned to Biloxi, gentrification was rampant. Shrimp boats had been replaced by gambling casinos. Where termite ridden beach houses stood - Gone With the Wind TaraType things appeared. And of course, Biloxi is in Mississippi. Mississippi - last in the nation in everything civilized.
