old metrobus - rosa parks memorial service - 31.oct.05

Went out and waited in line to see Rosa Parks memorial service goings on. I joined a bunch of hopeful folk - waited from 10:30 to around one. When- my part of the line did not get into the church. We did get into the basement.

Glad I was able to make it. It was the right thing to do. The loudest applause - in the nonpolitical category - went to Oprah Winfrey. She was there and a speaker. The loudest applause - in the political category - went to Bill Clinton. He wasn't there. The most senior politician in the white category was Ted Kennedy. Jesse Jackson was not there.
