uncle jesse and the tourists - 04jan06

Uncle Jesse takes tourists from the cruise ships out in the outrigger. Now think about this. Folk who look like they wouldn't walk across the street pay money to row a boat in the midday sun - while Uncle Jesse sits on his butt. Kind of like paying to be a galley slave. And, some people call Uncle Jesse and his friends "Dumb Hawaiians" - I think not.

How about that mine snafu in West Virginia? How could they have told those poor families that 12 of the men were alive? OOPS, my bad, stuff happens. That doesn't work. Even poor West Virginians deserve better.

The Menu: Chicken. I purchased 4 and a half pounds of frozen chicken "tenders". Because they were cheap. Now - you can assume we'll be have lots of chicken. Because - our "freezer" is about the size of a Kleenex box.

So - Lunch: I made a marinade of soy sauce and tangerines. After marinating the chicken - I nuked it for about 5 minutes - stirring a couple of times. When the chicken was done, I put it in the other bowl and added some pineapple salsa, and some chopped up papaya. (Papaya are free). Served with rice and avocado slices. Dinner will be sandwiches made with the leftover lunch chicken with onion and alfalfa sprouts. And some nice pineapple. (Pineapple are not free)
