palenose parrotfish (male)

Today's fish is the palenose parrotfish. The male is blue and the female is mostly gray.

The male palenose does have a slightly pale nose, but the easiest way to ID the palenose is by the yellow spot at the base of their tail. This is a smallish parrotfish - it maxes out at about 12 inches.

By this time next week - we should be "home". Better internet, a parking space, a kitchen. What else will I be glad to get back to? How about Trader Joe's? And a first class library. If our health holds up, I think that this time next year we might once again start considering moving. Carlton has been thinking about the west coast. Maybe Oregon. That way we would be closer to Hawaii.

The Menu: Lunch - Chicken - nuked with mayo and mustard, rice, nuked yellow squash. Dinner - Still using up stuff. Dinner is going to be "scraps".
