After the recent Rep. Mark "Demon Rum Made Me Do It" Foley revelations - well, maybe it hasn't been such a do nothing congress anyhow. What the congress was doing was just worse than we thought.

Which brings up another question - just why does congress need "pages" if not for a source of young boys (and girls). Microsoft seems to be a successful company - I never heard of a Microsoft Page. (Never mind that Bill Gates was a congressional page.) If the idea is to lure young people into a political career - well I wouldn't want by grand kids to be politicians. Maybe the idea is to reward your political supporters by getting their kids out of the house for a year. Somehow - I doubt that we taxpayers are getting our money's worth. The congressional page is an idea whose time as past.
