This just in: I AM NOT FORMING A PRESIDENTIAL EXPLORITY COMMITTEE.
Took the body up the hill yesterday to the Doc-N-Box. And saw a cheery old doctor dude. He said there are two sinus problems afoot. One is a virus based thing that takes 6 to 8 weeks to get better. And a bacteria based one that takes about as long to get over - but it does respond to a 2 week course of costly drugs. But, it is not possible to tell which version has attacked. I got the drugs. But, I haven't taken them yet. Enjoying poor health today.
You might think that we have wonderful clean air here. You might think that - but you would be wrong. 60 miles away is a big ass volcano that squirts tons of sulphur dioxide up in the air every day. I think it ends up as sulphuric acid.
A couple of years ago, I ripped the Harry Potter books to my iPod. This winter, I started listening to them. Now, for the record, I am an old fan of sci fi and fantasy. But, these books are finely crafted and the vocabulary surely wasn't dumbed down for the younger crowd. The standard - parallel universe - good vs evil fantasy story line. But, good listening. Especially over here - West Hawaii is sort of a parallel universe.
