decided to keep these flamingos

Well, I decided not to go up to Philly to catch the King Tut exhibit. Why? I read the small print. There only 9 or 10 pieces actually from King Tut's tomb. The largest of which seems to be about 9 inches tall. The good stuff remains in the Cairo Museum. So, maybe I'll go to Cairo.

This week's menu listing

  1. Veggie Burgers on onion rolls with cheese.
  2. Left over veggie casserole. This has been a staple of summer life in my house for years. When I had a garden - veggies piled up. Even now, I tend to over shop at the farm market. So, once a week, I gather up all the leftover veggies plus any odds and ends in the meat or fish category. Everything gets cooked up. Usually tomato, onions, peppers, squash, eggplant type stuff. I can be eaten hot or cold. Extended with the addition of rice, beans or pasta.
  3. Salmon and veggies.
  4. Tuna and tomato salad. But, it is really good tuna. Yellowfin packed in olive oil.
  5. Sausage and apples.
  6. Red beans and rice.
  7. Free range chicken with lettuce and tomato.

The stock market. Biggest percentage loss - 16 percent down - Saks. Best for staying power - Proctor and Gamble - up a tad. Guess we'll always buy tooth paste. Best move of the week. Taking profits on Monday before the slide started. Don't think it is over yet. We'll see.
