more fun stuff from the 1950's
Went to see my new collection of trainee physicians today. The chief resident on duty today lives in our building. And, I volunteered to take on the intern that they felt needed practice the most. The resident tried very hard and very patiently to get me to sign on to a cholesterol lowering drug. I clocked in at a total cholesterol count of 277. The intern practiced his pap smear skills on me. And, I got a shingle vaccine. After Carlton got shingles - I have been very keen to get the vaccine. It isn't very effective - and it is very expensive - but - I figure every little bit helps.
