Be afraid. Be very afraid. No not of the war just started between Russia and Georgia ... but that is most likely more important than Mr Edward's wandering weenie and beach volleyball.
No, I am very afraid of my new router. My current wireless router will be 5 years old next month. If you are a wireless router - you are on life support at 5 years. My computers get a better signal from most of the neighbors. Heck they get better signals from routers Hillary's building.
But, my DSL modem is also a router. I have my current wireless router set a bridge. But, with the new router - I want the DSL modem to be the bridge and for the Dual N gigabyte router to do the routing. If my first try doesn't work - I'll be SOL. I'll have to go upstairs and knock on the door "Hello, can I borrow a cup of internet". Of course, if I screw it up - I could take it as a sign from the goddess that I should get FIOS. Then Verzion would have to come set the new system up.
I have opened up the box and looked at the new router. And, downloaded the manual. Maybe I should pray for a miracle from Saint Synchronous.
