Playing with a vintage html editor today.
Thursday January 22 2009
It has been a week since my system meltdown. Since I
was surprise to see that my computer would bootup Ubuntu.
I have become rather fond of Ubuntu. Oh, I seriously
miss Roboform. Next time - I'll figure out a way to print out the
important stuff into a protected PDF. The big problem isn't the
passwords and login's. I can remember the really important ones. It is
the damn challenge questions. Like Carlton's bank. I am afraid to try
to log on to his account, I know that it will ask a question - since it
will notice a new OS. And, I hate those challenge questions. I haven't
a clue who my first grade teacher was. I don't even know where I went
to first grade.
Great news I was able to access the XP data. Copied all
the important stuff off to a USB key.
No Dreamweaver. My Ubuntu distribution came with an
HTML editor. SCREEM, But for no apparent reason it shuts down on me. I
don't use software that closes down and takes my work with it. So, I
found an old time editor SeaMonkey. It is leftover from the Netscape
days. This is a test of SeaMonkey.
Carlton's vertigo is much better. My cold morphed into
a sinus infection. It seems to be getting better.
