Now it is real. He died peacefully – maybe while taking a nap – this morning. I found him at about 1PM. A friend came and stayed with me until Georgetown University came and took him away. He didn’t get under way until a little after 5PM. That was the only “bad” thing. Waiting for the hearse.
More after I collect myself. It was a shock.
Enjoy Every Sandwich: Chicken salad was planned. Think I’ll have a little chicken soup instead.
Damn this sucks – Is there an APP for this?
Peg, I am so sorry for you loss. You have my eMail. Let me know if you need to chat or if there’s anything else I can do.
Peg, I’m sorry for your loss.
I am very sad to hear of Carlton passing and to say the least shocked. My phone number is and if the voice of a friend will help, give me a call. My Best to you. Zee
Hugs to you Peg! I’m here for you – to listen. Email me if you need to talk. You are my “gadget girlfriend “. Love you <3
Hi Peg, 🙁
So bad news. I don’t have the vocabulary to express well my emotion. Even in french it would be hard.
This is life, no APP for this… for us, tech people, maybe it is hard to admit: no reboot possible, just unexpected EOF, bad CRC or something like that, press DEL and the file is going to the bin. :'(
Keep strong, don’t sink: stay “Peggy”

Dear Peg,
We are much saddened and shocked by Carlton’s passing. As my cousin he was the last surviving relative on my father’s side. He was always my favorite of all my cousins. I remember well there were large parts of his life when he was adrift. When he met you he came alive and it was delightful to see that. You were easily the best thing that ever happened to him. It was fun over the years to hear from you two and read about your travels in your blog. You both seemed to so enjoy each other’s company. We hope that you are somehow coping with this almost unbearable loss.
Love,
Jim and Sara
