Our apartment is having a little photo contest. I didn’t feel good enough to go out and take a new one – so, I dusted off one from the archives. The rules are “Show us what you like best about the apartment?” Heck, I love everything about the apartment. Except the snail internet. And snail internet is because I am too cheap to get FIOS. No, I am not too cheap. I hate dealing with Verizon too much. Carlton had to get phone service (and DSL) setup when we moved to this apartment. I kept getting mad at them.
The dc metro ! I saw it this summer,
We met a very helpfull employee. She helped us to calculate how many money to put on the machine for our journey (not an easy thing for tourists !)
Same thing here in France: it’s a pain to deal with providers !
Hi Laurent,
After experiencing the Paris Metro – and being helped out by countless people – unless I am really running to catch a train – you remember the signs that says “Train arriving in 2 minutes” – anytime I see an out of towner just staring at the fare machines – I stop and see if I can help them.
You know Peg,
I considered bringing up 300-56k baud dial modems up when you talk snail internet.
Then I realized you would just strike back with 75 baud teletype.
Grin,
Dave
