I like Ubuntu and OpenSource stuff but my vote is for a Macbook Air with Snow Leopard. 😉 OS-X is BSD Unix underneath anyway.

As developers write 64bit SL apps, the multithreading of Grand Central coupled with OpenCL using the GPU will add Gigaflops of power to a mere laptop.
