Victory! The new Toshiba, running XP, finally agreed
to talk to the elderly - and monitor-less - Toshiba running a very
old version of Windows 95.
I am sure that I have completely hosed up all the
networking capabilities of XP - but, right now, I don't care. If
I get a huge wireless home network or something... then I worry.
For now, life is good.
