The Leonid Meteor Storm was most excellent inside
the DC Beltway. A part of me wished that I was out in some dark
place. But, another part of me enjoyed setting in my porch swing,
wrapped up in an old Army blanket - and watching the show. We had
better viewing than last year - because fog stole the show last
year.
About halfway through my viewing - I realized that
a Meteor Storm was one thing that even Bill Gates couldn't buy.
Ok, he could have his private jet take time to a location for optimal
viewing... but, he still has to take his chances and wait for the
meteors to decide to appear.
Anyhow, I hope you caught this year's show - because
it will not be back until 2098. The Lenoids have a "Big Show"
on a 33-34 year cycle - but Jupiter's gravity is going to snag the
next Big Shows.
Still haven't ordered a computer.
Phone just rang - it was phone spam. I always hated
telemarketers. But now with Mom's serious condition - every time
the phone rings - I have a minor panic attack.
