male redlipped parrotfish

Another fish story. The redlipped parrotfish really has red lips. Parrotfish are interesting critters. They start out life as females and later in life become guys. And, in Hawai`i, most of the females are reddish and the males are blue. By the time they get to be males they can be about 2 feet long. They eat coral. You can actually hear them crunching away. You know like, they they are eating Grape Nuts. And, most of the sand on the planet is actually parrotfish poop.

We are going back home in a week. That means I only have 7 more days in which to get a tattoo.

The Menu: Lunch - Carlton lunched at the palace. Dinner - I shall nuke some lovely yellowfin tuna. And we'll have a little salad and maybe some broccoli. The endless supply of free avocados seem to have dried up.
